About Me

Here's who I am & what I do

My primary interest lies in architecting network environment and cloud infrastructure, areas in which I was able to develop a sound foundation and strong passion during my studies at Nanyang Polytechnic. Through both academic exposure and actual experience, I was privileged to gain invaluable insight into designing systems which are secure, scalable, reliable, and sustainable.

There is always very much still to learn, though I am greatly motivated by the challenge of building infrastructure that adapts to evolving technological needs while serving its users effectively, simply, safely, and sustainably. Ultimately, technology should be designed and developed with these considerations, grounded in the needs of the communities or clients it seeks to serve.

Significantly, I believe that good engineering and problem solutioning are often a collaborative effort, working with and learning from others while refining my own approach, one shaped and guided by structure, precision, clarity, and appropriateness.

Beyond academic pursuit, i value opportunities for my socio-spiritual growth. As an alumni of an ASEAN youth humanitarian programme, I worked alongside fellow volunteers from different countries, creeds, and cultures, to serve disaster-stricken and disadvantaged communities across Thailand, Indonesia, Palestine and Singapore. These service stints were humbling, and they helped mould my worldview, broaden perspective, deepen empathy, improve communication skills, enhance adaptability, cultivate social capital and enrich cultural intelligence. Spiritually, I learnt that ‘he who holds the lamp for others, has his own path lighted’, and that the sharing of love, is education in itself.

Recreationally, I train in urban sports such as parkour and aggressive inline skating. Such activities forged my physical and mental resilience, demanding discipline and the composure to navigate unfamiliar and high-stakes environments, and to thrive despite pain and pressure.

It is essential to keep striving and growing steadily to be the better version of myself, not only as a competent and constructive engineer for the industry, but also as a soulful and useful individual to society.
